Architect, First Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Born on December 7, 1935 at Agbara – otor in Ughelli North Local government to Chief Peter Epete Ibru and Janet Omotogor.
Educated in Yaba Methodist school, later in Igbobi college, became head boy in 1955
Won Elder Dempster Lines Scholarship Award and travelled to the Nottingham school of Architecture England.
Qualified as an architect in 1962, presented to the Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and his Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham palace in 1960
Obtained MSc (Arch) at Technion- Isreal Institute of Technology in 1963
Resident Lecturer, Yaba College of Technology
Ibru Organisation / Roye Ibru Associates 1965 – 1983
Member, Constituent Assembly – to draft a new constitution for the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1988
First Executive Governor of the newly created Delta State under the umbrella of the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP) in 1992.
Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria – 2003
Member, Niger Delta Committee
Member, Senate Committee on banking.
Member, Intra party Affairs Committee.

In October 1958, employed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, one of the pioneer staff of CBN.
Rose from Managerial Assistant, Assistant Banking Manager, Assistant Currency Officer, Manager Grade “A” and Assistant General Manager to Deputy General Manager (Kano Branch) and later transferred to the Head office where you held the position Deputy General Manager between December 1966 and August 1968,
Became the Deputy Exchange Controller of CBN and acting head of department – 1968 to March 1970
Head of Department – April 1970 – 1976
Promoted to the position of Chief of Banking operations in January 1976 – September 1977
Became the Executive Director, Operations September 1977 – May 1982
Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria May 1982 – May 1988.
Retired from the Apex Bank in May 1988.

Former President of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers.

Born on the 14th of March, 1938 in Porogun town, Ijebu – Ode to Alhaji Bisiriyu Olaitan and Madam Nusirat Orekan Oke.
Educated at the Ijebu Ode Grammar School in 1956;
Proceeded to the Hammersmith College London to study structural engineering in 1960.
Diploma in Structural Engineering, 1964
British Institution of Structural Engineers July 1967.
Member British Institution of Structural Engineers in October, 1967.
Started and became principal partner Civ – Struct Associates- a company renowned for rendering qualitative Civil and Structural Engineering Services for over forty years.
Appointed the first Protem Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Chartered Structural Engineers in 1982.
Fellow/ President of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers in October 1989.
Fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Member, The British Institution of Structural Engineers.
