- Born on December 7, 1935 at Agbara – otor in Ughelli North Local government to Chief Peter Epete Ibru and Janet Omotogor.
- Educated in Yaba Methodist school, later in Igbobi college, became head boy in 1955
- Won Elder Dempster Lines Scholarship Award and travelled to the Nottingham school of Architecture England.
- Qualified as an architect in 1962, presented to the Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and his Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham palace in 1960
- Obtained MSc (Arch) at Technion- Isreal Institute of Technology in 1963

- Member, Constituent Assembly – to draft a new constitution for the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1988
