The Great Nigerian Awards, 2011 – 15th Anniversary

On October 16, 2011, the Foundation celebrated its 15^th Anniversary at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including intellectuals, government functionaries, industrialists, civil society and the media.

ThisDay Newspaper reported: “It was a remarkable evening replete with celebration of indisputable greatness, conversation among Nigerians and, perhaps not by design, an interrogation of the present and recent past, the roll of honour made this inevitable”

The Nation’s Newspaper wrote: “The honourees are men and women of impeccable achievements. They have satisfied the highest standards set for measuring achievement in every field of human endeavour. From public administration to jurisprudence and constitutional diplomacy and activism, they have carved their names in gold.”
